When it comes to anything that I or my family ingests - I typically avoid Chinese products - for the obvious issues that have made head lines and their lack of consumer protection. This Can Filter is one of the best on the market, and already having owned other ones, it was a no-brainer to purchase another. However, be advised that these are very hard to ship due to the size and the weight, and the first one I received was so damaged I had to refuse it at the door with FedEx. We were upset as we really were on a time crunch with needing this filter (those of you out there who own these for their intended purpose know what I mean :) but Amazon.com really came through on this shipping damage. I called their customer service as soon as FedEx left, and advised of the damage and that I refused it at the door. (A much quicker and easier way of getting damaged product back to the retailer; that way you don't have to pay a penny for it to get back to them. Just so you know! ;) Amazon sent another filter out overnight, and we had it delivered the next day! This one wasn't nearly as damaged; had a few dings but nothing that affected its functionality so we were good with that. I did let Amazon know, and they knocked $50 off an already super low price! That was very great on Amazon's part, and well worth taking the chance of shipping damage. Take it from someone who needed this the day before it was ordered: this was a great deal dollar-wise that was made even better by Amazon's great customer service. I highly recommend buying these filters from them, since if something does happen during transit, Amazon WILL make it right by you. A potentially bad experience was turned 100% around... thanks again, Amazon!

Great filter design cheap plastic water facet but for the price just do it. If you can't install this filter system properly then get a plumber to do it for you, but it is super easy, had no problems with the install, but I am very handy guy. Install is straight forward you either got it or your plumber or handy man should do for you. I have this filter system for 6 months now no problems no leaks just exception water from a major manufacturer whirlpool. It did a amazing job, to tast of our water in my kitchen, better than bottle water for us. I upgraded the water facet to a better suited one to match my facet design, but this still is not our problem here. Replacement filters are hard to find and non existent on Amazon or I would give it 5 stars if I could just use Amazon to reorder replacement fllters for this system. If you are able to get the replacement filters then it is a great system with outstanding water performance and easy of use. To keep the water condition good replacing filters every 6 months is recommended, and replacing the filters are just a simple half turn away. I like Amazon bc u usually get better deal than retail, this is not the case here at $200 use google instead. Filter replacement direct whirlpool no problem, like I said earlier wish Amazon would sell it replacement filters and complete package at competitive price.

iSpring UVF55 Whole House 12GPM 55-watt UV Disinfection System Review

The package made it in good time, and arrived apparently undamaged. I was surprised at that, as there was no over-box, and the styrofoam box was not taped inside the really thin cardboard sleeve. Total shock that there was no apparent damage. The 3/4" MALE pipe threads (mipt) taper properly and should give a good water seal with proper use of teflon tape (I am a machinist and welder, and know good threads and welding- we have both here!). The owner manual is quite thorough, but only shows a much nicer 220 volt series of ballast/controls with an hour meter and intensity detector and alarm. YOU DON'T GET THIS! and the listing doesn't claim it either...those would be very nice to have...it would be worth at least another $50 to me. Instead we have another ballast for 110 volts (80-130v tolerant) that may have an alarm as claimed?? The manual does not list it or any replacement or parts for this ballast...so what is my recourse on 1 year warranty? There is no warranty included, and no contact phone number or address to get help if needed. The booklet also gives max water pressure of 3kg in the text, and 7kg in the chart of specs. Which is right? and how many psi are those?? I would advise the re-marketers to get the original ballast (220v) modified to use 110v, include a warranty and contacts, and convert to psi rates. Add $50 to the price, and include these perks in the listings. More to come...

Hexagon Alkaline Hydrogen Water Filter (Filtration) System Review

Just a clarification regarding the Hexagon water filtration system: I used to own a Kangen water store, selling $4300.00 Kangen machines. Kangen machines
are IONIZERS, which means they have plates in the machine (which degrade after time-this is accelerated when people don't regularly clean their machines).
Subsequently, a Hexagon machine was brought to my shop for me to look at. I had it for over 4months testing it twice a day (ORP,PH, and micro-cluster characteristics). Needless to say I was very surprised at the results. By the way, the Kangen machine that was tested side by side, had a PRE-TRI-FILTER setup,
before it would go through the Kangen machine (which has 1 carbon filter-which by the way, if you run hot water through it runs the filter within minutes). The Hexagon now has a 3 stage filtration system (1)-.3microns, which takes out ALL the impurites in the water. (2)- Goes through the second stage which is a BIG KDF filter, which cleans it once again, however changes the molecular size of the water clusters (into smaller clusters) for maximum hydration absorption in the cells.
(3)- Alkaline block filter, which changes PH to a higher level. After that, the water goes through 2 more processes- a "spin device" (powered just by water flow) which generates/creates oxygen in the water. Then lastly it flows over a powerful magnet, which again, brings the size of the molecules even smaller. All this done without electricity (which is much more of a NATURAL process). Charging the water with an electrical current is not logically NATURAL.

RESULTS: APPLES TO APPLES

ORP'S

KANGEN- -518 ORP

HEXAGON- -771 ORP *winner

PH LEVEL

KANGEN- at the setting of 9.5ph, came back at 9.4ph

HEXAGON- *No settings on machine (you get what you get, depending on the source of H2O)
PH came back at 10.1ph (machine was about 1week old)

MICROCLUSTER TESTING (TEA BAG TEST- can it steep tea as water is cold)

Both machines passed this test.

*Note: What I found out (which the Kangen people know). All those characteristics disapate with time. The reason why those characteristics don't last, is
because your using ELECTRICITY as a source to provide those components. The HEXAGON MACHINE HAS A NATURAL FLOWING PROCESS, AND DOESN'T USE ELECTRICITY. Those
Characteristics disapate in the Hexagon, however it takes up to 7days to happen!

Just to claify- Hexagon filters (all of them, run $200.00 to replace all 3)- and you do this ONCE A YEAR- NOT EVERY OTHER MONTH!

*THE KANGEN HAS 1 FILTER AND IT RUNS $135 +TAX , and it lasts 3000 gals.

**EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE THE FILTERS ON THE HEXAGON, IT'S LIKE GETTING A NEW MACHINE (BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT DRIVES IT). THE KANGEN MACHINE HAS PLATES WHICH WEAR OUT OVER TIME...AND WHEN PEOPLE DON'T CLEAN THEM, THEY WEAR OUT EVEN FASTER. SO YOU DECIDE: $4300 OR $400.00!
