I live in central Florida and the water here is horribly hard and tastes terrible. I have owned this system before and was very happy with it's performance so when I built a new home I purchased the same system. Lime deposits are virtually eliminated and the filtered water is refreshing and has little or no taste the way pure water is suppose to taste. Installation can be easy but the manufacturer only supplys connecting hardware for one type of connection so you may have to buy hardware as I did to install it under the sink into the existing water supply. I found all the hardware I needed at the Home Depot so it didn't take anything special. I installed this system to city water, I can not say how it would perform with well water.
