These filters did not work well for me at all. I have used many different brands of filters, some that work well for only a few days, and some that actually make water taste worse. These guys just literally did nothing to my tap water. It tasted no different at all after being filtered. Now, the Watts pitcher that these things fit into is actually pretty nice, so if you happen to have bought the pitcher along with these filters, here's a tip: if you remove the black rubber gasket from these filters, and wrap them around a standard Brita filter (which are way better than these things), they will fit inside the Watts pitcher. This is what I've been doing, and it works just fine.

On the second pair since the dog (well 3 month old puppy at the time) chewed up the first pair (looks just like their logo) but it's been 4 years and some hard wear on the fur lining but other than that They are holding up like a champ (most shoes don't last that long for me). SO while I haven't gotten a 3rd pair I know I will when it's time to get new slippers. Culligan RV-EZ-3 EZ-Change RV Drinking Water Filtration System, Level 3-Advanced Filtration Review

I like the filter, the water quality, and ease of access. I'm not thrilled about the faucet, and actually used a different one (Watts) for my installation. It's also not clear how the "change filter" light works - no comment in the manual. The light is located in the faucet, and cannot sense the actual filter - - so the only way it could detect a change is either by water volume or time. Also, there's no information on how to reset it when the filter is changed. So - - all in all - - the little light was of no/negative use for me. The filter is good for 500 gals, and in my RV 500 gallons of water drunk is a LONG time to go. Another comment about the faucet - it does not have a "momentary" feature where you can push/release; you actually have to turn it on and turn it off. In an RV, I like the momentary function, one less way to accidentally leave a faucet dripping.

Installation comment: there is a third small center screw hole in addition to the two keyhole screw holes; this screw will keep the filter housing from being accidentally pushed up out of its mounting screws when trying to re-mate a filter, so I highly recommend using it.

Lastly: this filter flows SLOWLY. At first, I thought it was going to be unusable, took about a minute to fill an 8oz glass. After the initial flushing time (10-20 minutes), the flow picked up to around 15 seconds to fill the same glass. This equates to around 1/4 gallon per minute, about half of what is specified. To be fair, this is in an RV with only 45psi of pressure, not the typical 60psi or more of a house installation. YMMV.

Bottom line - I like the product, the dual-filtration in one small unit goes very well in my small RV, and the flow is okay if not exciting. It would be 5 stars if the faucet had a momentary, and instructions for the LED reset with a filter change.

UPDATE 2012:
I thought I could tolerate the low flow, but after a year of waiting minutes to half-fill a coffee pot, I got really sick of it. I upped my RV water pressure to 55psi, nearly house level, and still not much flow. Finally, I threw it out and replaced it with an inline unit. Lots of flow, 5 seconds to fill the pot. Not as convenient to change but with RV use, change is infrequent.

So on balance, I can't recommend this unit for anything except maybe an ice-maker. It's just too slow.

Omni Corporation U25E Whole House Water Filter System with Clear Housing Review

Yes, the TO1 carbon filter removes most of the chlorine taste, and installation is pretty easy. As one reviewer has indicated, it's hard to keep the filter housing from leaking. It's really due to the poor finish inside the opening into which the filter cannister is screwed. There are some rough seams that prevent the o-ring from seating perfectly. Minor adjustments are needed to obtain a leak-free fitting. BUT - and this is what they don't tell you - the unit has a life of FIVE years. Omni says that after five years, the plastic parts (that's every part, folks) will have degraded to the point of imminent failure. The instruction manual requires that you replace the clear plastic lower unit (cannister) every five years, or "costly repairs or water damage" may result. I contacted Omni, since I could find no source for the lower unit, and they told me that the ENTIRE UNIT MUST BE REPLACED EVERY FIVE YEARS, as all the plastic will have degraded to the point of failure by then. Doesn't say much for the quality of their product, does it?

MultiPure Shower Filter Review

It's finally time to replace my Multi-Pure shower filter that I got free when ordering my under the counter water purification system in my kitchen. This shower filter is supposed to be replaced once a year, but because I'm away from home several times a year I've waited about a year and a half. The water still feel and smells like the filter is working, but I'm going to replace it anyway just to be sure.

I noticed immediately after installing (easy install) that the chlorine smell was gone and that my skin and hair felt great.

Being spoiled by this filter, I get the creeps when showering in non filtered chlorinated water, and notice that my skin becomes tighter in a bad way, as well as my hair feeling more tangled and looking dull.

I will never be without a shower filter. EVERYONE should have a water filter in the water they bathe/shower in. Dr. Mercola has a video on the subject which will be enough to convince you how important it is to have a shower filter. If you can smell chlorine in your water, you are putting it inside your body!

Amway E0085 Replacement Filter for Gen IV WTS Water Treatment System Review

I have had the system in my home for 10 years and it is the best to get really clean safe water!!
I am thrilled that I can get the filter so easily from Amazon!!

Some one a Henry just asked if it fits the E-84 system and I believe the answer to that is yes. I am not a system expert but I believe in going over this replacement the past few years I encountered that question. Actually I think at one point it seemed that maybe the number of the system is actually contains both. I bought it not certain that it would work. Maybe they changed the number of the system at the company. The INSTRUCTIONS inside with the filter at not for the E-85 which is on the box which holds the filter, but the actual instructions are for E-84 Filter. My guess is that the answer is yes Henry!
