Bought this item to install a 12 V water system pump and accumulator. because SHURflo has these swivel nuts it makes water system installation in tight corners of a boat or RV much easier. You can preinstall the nut on your hose and then reach in and attach to the pump or accumulator. The picture is not accurate though, the nut has wings on it which makes it easy to hand tighten to a watertight condition.
