This item is fine, but does not include any provision for mounting. I ordered 3 of these filter housings. They are a strong, easy to see through plastic that should give me years of use, but since they do not come with any kind of mounting bracket, I had to go to water anywhere's website and order 3 brackets, which cost me $5.50 each (a somewhat fair price for a piece of metal which may or may not include the screws) but then I was charged another $5.32 for EACH one for the shipping. When I wrote to them, they called me and said they were looking into the shipping charges to be sure they were reasonable. They wrote me back saying "We calculated the freight cost to ship from us in Vista, CA 92081 to you and the going rate is $16.76 for UPS Ground. We only charged you $15.96 and we feel this is a fair price." Well for me to ship the same 3 pound box to Vista, CA using my UPS account would be 9.77 and I don't even get a corporate discount as they do. A lady also called me and reminded me that I had agreed to the shipping fees during the order process and that's just too bad. So I say to anyone looking to use these water filters, beware, you may be better off going to the local Home Depot or Lowe's and getting a generic filter housing for $19 plus tax.
