The instructions are very hard to understand but once you figure it out, it installs very easy. It does include a filter. I purchased one when I ordered this because the description was not clear as to whether it included a filter. The tightening wrench is the best cause you are going to need it to loosen the case to take the paper off the new filter and to tighten it once you put the filter back in. Tighten it!!! And once you have it hooked up and you are ready to test it, put the entire unit in the sink so that if there are any leaks, they wont wet the counter up. I didnt need the extra parts to attach it to the faucet. It was easy to attach once I figured out that the clamp could loosen more than I thought. Make sure to tighten the clamp over the rubber gasket once you fit it onto the faucet. So far there are no leaks. Great price and the water tastes great. Love the fact that it is not in the way when Im trying to wash dishes. Also the water sprays out at an angle so I would always turn it on over the sink.
