i really like this unit. its big so if you don't have the space don't do it. i bought this to replace the unit i bought for 2000. they told me it was going to cost 700 to fix. i figure i would just buy a bigger and better unit. that is just what i got. most of the parts are plastic but i don't mind it much. did a lot of looking around and i like the two part model better then the all in ones. this thing is tall and hard to move around so get someone to help you move it. someone big. that said its been a week and i totally see the difference in water quality. also it has 70000 grains so it does not cycle that often. this is a unit you can install on your own if you already have the loop cut and set for hopefully 1 inch nuts.

pro: cost, look, easy to install.
con: hard to move by yourself, most the parts plastic.
