We bought this in addition to the culligan easy change filter. We installed this on a fridge with only an icemaker, no water dispenser. Normally inline filters require you "flush" the filter to remove some of the carbon dust as it is hydrated. With just an icemaker this would mean throwing away ice for weeks as it slowly allowed water to circulate. This system allowed us to flush water into a bucket(or we could run a hose to a drain if we needed to) to quickly flush the system and not have to wait for ice. The kit includes everything you would need to set up, but you may want to consider extra hose when purchasing the hook up kit for your fridge, as you will need a little bit for this system depending on how you decide to drain. An added bonus to this system is that it easily allows you to drain the water line to your fridge before you disconnect it.
