This filter is great for those who want to filter chlorinated city water. The pleated resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers provides higher wet strength than regular cellulose cartridges. Because it is pleated, the filter provides 36 square feet of filtering surface area, which is quite amazing when you think it's housed in a 20"x4 1/2" housing. What makes this filter special is that it goes from 50 micron on the outside down to 1 micron on the inside.
