I love this Frostfire water filter because the carbon block filter it uses is not proprietary. You can find these common-sized carbon block filters anywhere and they last substantially longer than some more expensive proprietary filters found in other systems. I even swapped out the included 5 micron filter with a .5 micron filter and the stream is still very powerful. This Frostfire filter comes with several adapters to fit to your faucet as well as a housing wrench to loosen the housing to replace your filter. The instructions, which are on the side of the box, are simple. It's important to run water though the system after inserting a new filter to flush out filter particulates. If there's something that's missing from this product it is some sort of aerator or sprayer that clips on to the filter's faucet that breaks up the water stream so it's not so powerful at times. Nicely built. The taste of the water is night and day. No more soily and chlorine taste! Would buy again and it's great for gifts.
