Using two clips (included with the purchase), this inline filter will attach to the RO membrane housing. This Hydronix filter has a capacity of 2,000 gallons and a maximum flow rate of 0.5 gpm. The weight of the filter is 1 lb 13 oz.By adding this inline filter and connecting the tubes so that water flows into it before going to the faucet, you get the optimum benefit of the alkaline-mineral-ORP media. With this addition, water produced by your existing reverse osmosis system gets added alkaline and antioxidant qualities. The filter re-mineralizes and raises the pH of your purified water by at least 1 to 2 points. The media in this filter lowers the ORP of water. This filter, or its equivalent, is incorporated in the 6-stage system RO6-100-ALK.The alkaline filter has the following media: D300 Alkalizing Bio Tablets, D600 anti-oxidant mineral spheres, bio ceramic alkalizer, ORP mineral stone and mineral stones, in addition to pads at entrance and exit of the filter. That inline filter may be accurately described as natural alkalizer/ionizer/mineralizer/oxidizer!When you order this filter, you get two 1/4" FTP Fittings (Item: AMC0404W) to connect this filter to your RO system and two 2.0"x2.5" double clip.Note: Click on the small photo above to see how the alkaline filter is connected to the inline post carbon filter using only a short tube (2.5" long). Some people prefer to keep this filter as separate from the RO system and to mount it on the wall or side of the cabinet.
